Windows (Server 2003/2008) experience is a plus. Hands on experience in troubleshooting web (Apache/ Tomcat/ PHP/ Perl/ Python/ Chili ASP/ ColdFusion), mail Exim/ Sendmail/ Qmail/  Webmail/ Spamassassin/ Clam),database (MySQL/ PgSQL/ Replication), DNS, etc. Good knowledge of securing servers, services lockdown, firewalls. RHEL Certified

Designation: Senior Engineer- Server Management

Job location: Gurgaon
Job Description: Candidate will be responsible for providing high end L2 level support on Linux servers. Database start / stop operations Database monitoring capabilities and exception alerting Backup integrity and routinely testing capabilities Database capacity monitoring and notification Handling Escallation and preparing RCCA/RCA Resolve user configuration / authentication issues Escalating the calls to vendor/principal/TSG whenever reqd, Analyze reports & recommend changes to process/technology where ever reqd, Knowledge sharing to Shift Incharge/L2 /L1engrs. Pro-actively provide suggestions for the optimization of the Infrastructure Analysis of system resource utilization Capacity, planning and management, performance tuning, system upgrades, bug fixes and implementation of software patches. Installation and configuration of virtual machines, troubleshooting system issues, supporting application/middleware installation reconfiguration, adding/deleting users from the system, and generating reports. Configuration and implementation of SAN, creation and management of file systems, volume groups. Monitoring tools development Consolidate and provide metrics and performance scorecard Monthly reviews with Clients IT Managers Interface with Business Managers / IT managers of different business for transition issues
